Autumn Meeting 2026

Welcome to Edinburgh!

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to this special Veterinary Dermatology Congress, held in the unique and inspiring setting of Edinburgh Zoo, as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the BVDSG. Reaching this milestone is a testament to the dedication, collaboration, and scientific curiosity of our wonderful community, and we are delighted to mark the occasion together with you.

This year’s programme brings together leading experts and practitioners to explore advances in allergic skin disease, offering a stimulating series of lectures, discussions, and opportunities for shared learning. Whether you are here to deepen your clinical knowledge, exchange ideas with colleagues, or discover new perspectives, we hope you find the scientific sessions both enriching and engaging.

Beyond the lecture hall, we encourage you to take full advantage of our extraordinary venue. Edinburgh Zoo offers a rare chance to connect our field with the wider animal world, and we hope you will enjoy time to explore its remarkable inhabitants and surroundings.

Our social programme has been designed to celebrate not only our history but also the friendships and collaborations that define our community. Join us for an unforgettable dinner here at the zoo, and later for an evening of Scottish hospitality with a traditional ceilidh at the Ghillie Dhu—an opportunity to relax, connect, and perhaps learn a few new dance steps.

Thank you for being part of this landmark event. Your presence helps shape the future of veterinary dermatology, and we are honoured to celebrate this 50-year journey with you.

We wish you an inspiring, enjoyable, and memorable congress.

Warm regards & looking forward to be welcoming as many of you as possible for this unforgettable experience,

Ariane Neuber
President BVDSG
