Dear fellow dermatology enthusiasts,
With the spring meeting still fresh in mind, preparations for the autumn meeting are well underway. After ‘Hair today – gone tomorrow’ this spring, the subject for autumn will be infectious diseases, an area that is more topical than ever, post pandemic and in the area of multi-drug resistance. We are lucky to have secured excellent speakers, Steve Shaw, Ross Bond, Charles Bradley and Conor O’Halloran to name but a few.
With BSAVA Congress cancelled, we will have to discuss how to go forward with the BVDSG spring meeting and this will be one of the topics for our AGM this year. Choice of venue in the future will certainly also be a hot topic, so if any of you know of a suitable location with facilities that can cater for our needs, we would be very grateful to hear from you. A society can only stay alive, if the members actively participate, and this is one of many possibilities for our membership to get involved.
Our aim remains to cater for general practitioners, certificate holders, and dermatology specialists alike with what promises to be another enjoyable and informative meeting.
Please bring along your enthusiasm for veterinary dermatology, a curious mind and a thirst for learning as we hope to have an enjoyable weekend of scientific content and aim to stimulate lively discussions and last, but not least, have a lot of fun.
We are very much looking forward to welcoming as many of you as possible to Coventry.
Ariane Neuber
BVDSG President
