Important announcement regarding BVDSG Spring
meeting April 1 st 2020
Following the development of the Coronavirus outbreak in the last few weeks, we held an urgent Committee Meeting last night and have made a unanimous decision to change our event to a live virtual webinar meeting.
We are in the process of finalising details of this event but it will take place at the same time and on the same day but will allow all our members and speakers to attend virtually from the comfort of their own homes or offices without the risk of travel.
This decision was made considering a number of factors, including the fact that our main speaker Silvia Colombo (based in Milan) is unable to travel, that some of the major sponsors will potentially be unable to attend and that other individuals may have restrictions placed upon them with regard to travel and attending major events.
We are hoping to mail the BVDSG Proceedings out to all registered delegates ahead of the 1 st April and make the meeting a superb event with the support of our sponsors and delegates.
We will be in touch in the following days with more details, but in the meantime, we urge anyone who has registered and not yet booked accommodation or travel NOT to do so in view of the event is changed to a virtual event.
Thank you for your support and we look forward to welcoming you to our forthcoming meeting!
Sarah Warren, BVDSG President and on behalf of the BVDSG Committee
10th March 2020
Dear Friends and Colleagues
The British Veterinary Dermatology Study Group (BVDSG) would like to welcome you to their Spring Meeting 2020 entitled “Feline Dermatology”.
The meeting will once again be held at the ICC Birmingham where we will have full use of one of the most spacious and sophisticated rooms in the centre – hall 4. Both the location and the exceptional facilities make this venue easy to reach and ideal for relaxed and productive meetings as well as social gatherings.
This year, by popular demand, we will be covering the wonderful yet challenging topic of Feline Dermatological disease. We welcome world expert speakers including Silvia Colombo, Stephen Shaw, Angela Fadda, Simone Kirby and Nicola Swales, who between them, will be covering topics
such as feline allergy, feline viral skin disease, dermatophytosis, feline parasites, neurological skin disease, dental disease relevant to dermatologists, feline autoimmune disease and behavioural aspects of feline skin disease.
We would like to thank our Sponsors for their continued and valued support, and our members for their regular attendance and commitment, both of whom make it possible for us to hold these high quality educational events.
We look forward to welcoming you to Birmingham!
