Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Dear Friends and colleagues, The British Veterinary Dermatology Study Group (BVDSG) and British Society of Veterinary Pathology (BSVP) would like to invite you to their combined Autumn Meeting “Skin Deep” to be held at the Radisson Blu, Manchester on 11th – 12th November.

Veterinary dermatology is a clinical discipline in which there is intimate linkage between the formulation of clinical and pathological diagnoses. This meeting therefore represents an unrivalled opportunity for clinicians and pathologists to share a diverse and exciting program of continuing professional development, with contributions from a team of internationally renowned dermatologists and pathologists including Prof Monika Welle, Prof Phil Jones, Dr Peter Forsythe, Dr Tim Scase, Dr David Shearer, and Dr Trevor Whitbread. Whether you are a clinician in general practice, a specialist in veterinary dermatology, an early career veterinary pathologist or a seasoned dermatopathologist, we believe that our meeting will hold much to capture your interest.

We’d like to thank all our Sponsors for supporting our mission and helping to make the event possible by offering extensive educational and entertainment opportunities presented at each event.

Additionally we thank all of you for attending, you are the future of the BVDSG.

We look forward to seeing you in Manchester to go “Skin Deep”!

BSVP MEETING

The Sunday BSVP program will build on the foundations set on Saturday with an internationally renowned group of speakers including Prof Monika Welle, Prof Phil Jones, Dr David Shearer, and Dr Trevor Whitbread. There will be a strong focus on the molecular pathology of dermatological conditions, a continued emphasis on the importance of clinical and pathological correlation, and a special session on equine dermatopathology.

We will also provide a forum during which early career veterinary pathologists (residency stage or equivalent) can present their work. Presentations documenting cases involving any organ system or species will be welcome during this session, although we will particularly welcome abstract submissions describing cases involving the skin.

Maintaining a holistic clinical-pathological approach through to the conclusion of our program, we will end the day with a combined session with BVDSG, with Dr Peter Forsythe and Dr David Shearer guiding us through “Dermatoclinical correlation: difficult cases”.
